
Dr Patsy Paxton

Patsy has many years' experience as an academic administrator in New Zealand, firstly as the Academic Manager at the Waikato Institute of Technology and more recently as Academic Director at Auckland University of Technology. Prior to coming to New Zealand in January 1995, she was a professor of teacher education at Vista University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Patsy embraces the belief in the healing power of nature and a holistic approach to healing.

Robyn Carruthers

Robyn has a long and varied background in teaching. Following a lifelong dream, she trained as a naturopath and herbalist in the late 1990s. She ran a naturopathic clinic for four years, while teaching part-time at College. She operated a naturopathic clinic for a number of years, while teaching part-time at the College before moving overseas. She has enthusiasm for excellence in natural health education and is a firm believer in living a full, yet balanced, life. As well as running a part-time practice, she is studying towards a Master of Health Science in MindBody medicine with AUT.

Wayne Hill
BSc, DipNat, BHSc(CompMed)
Wayne is a registered naturopath with many years clinical experience. He is passionate about herbs, nutrition and exercise, and the role they play in our emotional, physical and emotional well being.

Jeannette Bennett
AdvDipHom, GradDipTertTchg
Jeannette graduated as a homeopath in 1996 and practices from her clinic on the North Shore of Auckland. She has an extensive background in education and has taught homeopathic philosophy for many years. She has considerable expertise in the philosophies of modern homeopaths, Jan Scholten and Rajan Sankaran. She also currently serves on the Executive committee of the NZ Council of Homeopaths and is a member of the Natural Health Council.

Kathy Thomas
BA, DipTchg, Dip SLT, DipHom, AdvDipHom.
Kathy discovered the incredible healing power of homeopathy 18 years ago, when her oldest child became sick. She then began her training as a homeopath. She has a part-time clinic in Kumeu. As well, she writes about homeopathy for various publications. Formerly, a Principal at the Auckland College of Classical Homeopathy, Kathy is passionate about providing practical (and fun) education for homeopaths and students alike.

Annette Huang
Librarian
MA(Hons), DipNZLS, DipMgt, TCAE
Annette has been a librarian for over 35 years, most of the time in tertiary education. She was manager of the library at Manukau Institute of Technology for more than 20 years, overseeing its growth to an organisation with 30 staff and an annual budget of over $1million. She always has had an interest in complementary therapies and has recently been librarian at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic and the New Zealand College of Massage.
She offers a friendly and efficient library service with a strong client focus and is always willing to assist with any problem.

Andrea Johnson
Registrar
DipNat, DipHerbMed, BHSc(CompMed)
Andrea qualified as a naturopath and herbalist at SPCNT. Her naturopathic background has proved invaluable in her role as Registrar. Andrea's work with computers at NZ Defence Headquarters before enrolling at SPCNT has helped her administer the College database and keep accurate records as required by government. Andrea also assists in adminstration of the distance learning components of the course.
Annette Foster
Marketing and Admissions Manager
BA, Auckland University
Annette has worked in the tertiary education sector since 1995, both in the public and private sectors. Whilst completing her degree at The University of Auckland, Annette worked as Student Loans Officer at AUT. After graduating, Annette was employed by The University of Auckland as Undergraduate Admissions Officer, International Office. She then moved to the private sector, accepting a position as Registrar and Director of Admissions at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic. Annette was then employed in a set-up role as Liaison & Admissions Manager at the newly opened College of Law.

Ann Gulley
NZRN, AdvDipHom, CertAdultTchg
Ann is a registered nurse and brings a unique homeopathic perspective to knowledge of the human body and pathology. She is an executive member of the NZ Council of Homeopaths and still finds time to run a busy homeopathic clinic in Avondale.

Erin Hudson
DipNat, DipHerbMed BHSc(CompMed)
Erin graduated in the mid -1980's and has been in part-time clinical practice since then. She updated her Naturopathic Diploma for the Bachelor of Health Scienes in 2004. She also holds a Diploma in Childbirth Education and taught antenatal classes for Parents Centre over a 15 year period Centre. As well as teaching Naturopathy and Massage at SPCNT she is also employed by Te Puna Whaiora at the Pakuranga Children's Health Camp. She is part of a large team that assesses children with social, learning and health needs for a residential stay. Her focus is parent education where she runs workshops on-site as well as one-on-one consultation in the community.

Jacqueline Neumann
BA (Hons), MTech Hom
Jackie has a BA in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Technology Homoeopathy. Jackie completed these degrees in South Africa where she was a Clinical Director in a large medically oriented teaching clinic for Homoeopaths and Chiropractors. She has been lecturing at SPCNT for many years and operates a Homoeopathic Clinic in Remuera.
