
Fees - 2012
Tuition fees for New Zealand domestic students are $620 per course which includes a $50 registration fee which must be paid on notification of successful enrolment application (after 13 January 2012).
International student fees can be obtained from the College.
Fees are due in full by:
- 31 January 2012 for Semester 1 courses and 9 July 2012 for Semester 2 courses.
- Fees not paid by the due dates will automatically incur a 10% penalty.
- Students will be excluded from courses if all fees are not paid within 2 weeks of the due date unless prior arrangements have been made with the Director.
Fees Conditions
- The cost of course tuition is met by tuition fees and Government funding.
- As required, fees paid are held in a Trust Fund.
- No student shall graduate unless all fees and other costs have been paid in full.
- Course tuition fees do not include textbooks and course related materials or equipment. Full-time students should allow about $600 per semester for books and other course expenses. A Student Loan through StudyLink can be used to cover these costs.
- Fees for international students are available on request or from the Guidelines on www.spcnt.ac.nz.

Refunds
- If any student is expelled, no refund of tuition fees will be given.
Domestic Students
- If a student withdraws before the academic programme begins, they will receive a refund of all tuition fees paid.
- If a student decides to withdraw after the academic year has begun, they must complete a Withdrawal Form and provide any supporting documentation to the Deputy Principal.
- A refund of tuition fees paid less costs, which will not exceed 10% of the total fees paid or $500 whichever is the lesser, will be made to any student who withdraws and applies in writing to the Deputy Principal within 2 weeks (14 calendar days) of the commencement of a semester.
- Discretion in granting a refund rests with the Principal for students who withdraw from a course after 2 weeks (14 calendar days), but less than 4 weeks (28 calendar days), from the commencement of the semester. Application must be made to the Principal with suitable documentary evidence.
- No refunds will be made if more than 4 weeks (28 calendar days) from the commencement of the semester have been completed.
- If serious illness or accident prevents a student from completing any course in any period of study, the student may formally apply to the Principal to re-enrol and complete the course/s paid for without incurring additional fees and as long as the re-enrolment complies with the Regulations.

- If an international student withdraws from a course/programme before the expiry date of their visa the College will notify NZ Immigration Service.
- If an international student is granted permanent residency within 20 days of the commencement of an academic year then the student will receive a refund of international fees and will be charged domestic tuiton fees. If an international student is granted permanent residency after more than 20 days of the commencement of the academic year then they will receive no refund of their tuition fees until the following year when they will be charged as a domestic student.
